Artist Talk
February 29, 5:30-6:30pm

Join CVA for an VIRTUAL artist talk with Diane Fine and Mario Laplante. These two artists have worked collaboratively for more than 30 years. Their recent series examines the cultivation and collection of seeds as it relates to food insecurity resulting from the loss of crop diversity. The poetic aspects of their discussions around these topics provide the inspiration of these works, which are on view at CVA in the Pressing for Change exhibition.

Live Stream Link (Will not be live until event starts)

This talk will be held virtually as the artists are no longer able to travel to attend it in person. However, anyone who would like to watch the talk from CVA is welcome to join us and will receive a takeaway item provided by the artists. The talk will be projected on a large screen at CVA and a live Q & A session will be held with in-person audience members.

First Friday Art Walk

Summer 2022 First Friday Faces

Art District on Santa Fe First Friday Art Walk
First Friday of every month, 6-8pm

The First Friday Art Walks are the signature event of Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe. All year round, rain or shine, the District comes alive on the first Friday of each month as thousands of visitors descend upon Santa Fe Drive to view art from hundreds of artists in galleries, studios, co-ops, upstairs, downstairs, in alleys, on the street—everywhere!

On First Fridays, CVA always has something fun happening, whether it’s vendors and cultural partners in the parking lot, fantastic exhibitions in the galleries, or art-making activities in the classroom, there’s something for everyone!
